United Property & Casualty Insurance Company (“United”) is a Florida domiciled Property & Casualty stock insurance company located in St. Petersburg, Florida. United is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Insurance Holdings, L.C. whose parent company is United Insurance Holdings Corp., a publicly traded company. United’s operations are administered by United Insurance Management, L.C., as Managing General Agent.
The day-to-day operations of the company are managed by an experienced team of insurance professionals who are committed to the company’s mission of providing a stable market for independent agents of diversified property and casualty insurance products.
The company currently offers both Homeowners and Dwelling Fire products. In addition to these products, United is also a Write Your Own Flood Carrier.
The company’s reinsurance program is comprised of only A.M. Best “A” Rated (or better) Lloyd’s of London, Bermuda and domestic reinsurers and also includes additional catastrophe protection provided by the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund.
United has been assigned a Financial Stability Rating®(FSR) of A, Exceptional, by Demotech, Inc., a financial analysis and actuarial consulting firm. FSRs are accepted by several government sponsored enterprises, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and various programs of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
